What Information Do We Collect? How Do We Use It?
NYSRTA Members
We collect information about your employment history and preferences that allows potential employers to search for job applicants. This information appears on your profile page. It is used solely to facilitate searches. You may change it or delete it any time.
Any resumes you post are viewable only by employers registered with NYSRTA and not to the public at large. NYSRTA does not use any information posted on your resume. You may delete your resume(s) at any time. Once deleted, the information cannot be recovered.
We use your email address to verify your registration for the website, as well as to send you a new password if you forget your password.
We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important changes to the website, new services and special offers we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, please notify us.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Advertisers and Employers
When you buy a subscription or place an advertising order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit-card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your orders and to notify you of your order status.
Any job listings posted by an Employer are viewable only by Members of NYSRTA and other registered Employers, not to the public at large. NYSRTA does not use any information posted on your job listing. You may delete your job listing at any time or simply wait for it to expire and be automatically deleted. Once deleted, the information cannot be recovered.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Will NYSRTA Disclose the Information it Collects to Outside Parties?
We will not sell, trade or rent any of your personal information to others.
We may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

Because of the nature of the employment service, advertising charges and Employer subscriptions are not refundable for any reason.
We reserve the right to cancel your account at any time.
Additionally, we reserve the right to remove any material we deem illegal, obsene or inappropriate. Violating accounts may be suspended or deleted at our discretion.
Upon successful payment for advertising or an Employer subscription, you will receive your registration information via email. In the event you do not receive this information within 12 hours of payment, please contact our office and we will register your account manually.
